Referral agency statement
Cooings Connect is a referral agency. Cooings Connect is a dba of Moon Care LLC. Live-in and daily in-home postpartum care is arranged through Cooings Connect; the care itself is provided by the doula you choose. Technology and brand are provided under license by Cooings LLC.
Notice to families
Cooings Connect is not the employer of the doula referred to you. The doula referred to you may be your employee or an independent contractor, depending on the relationship you have with her. If you direct and control the manner and means by which the doula performs her work, you may have employer responsibilities under state and federal law, including employment taxes and workers' compensation. For more information, contact the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
This notice is also given to you in writing before any introduction is made. How care is priced is explained on the families page.
